Description: This unit
consists of a mechanical lubricator operated by a small reciprocating
air cylinder connected to the air end of the air compressor. The
lubricator body has two oil reservoir compartments; one for steam
cylinder oil and one for air compressor oil. The lubricator is
equipped with five feeds; three feeds for steam cylinder oil and two
feeds for air compressor oil. Each reservoir has its own fill hole,
strainer and dipstick to check the oil level in the reservoir. It
effectively replaces numerous other types of air compressor
lubricators, including hydrostatic types.
Description:The Type 8 Mechanical Lubricator is
similar in design to the Nathan type DV4 mechanical lubricator. It
will replace any mechanical lubricator requiring 1 to 8 feeds. Used in
conjunction with type 5 Automatic Mechanical Lubricator, the
combination will replace any hydrostatic lubricator as well. Used
alone or in conjunction with the Four Way Lubrication Divider, it will
provide for the lubrication needs of small and medium sized
locomotives. It is of steel construction.
Description:The Type 14
Mechanical Lubricator is similar in design to the Nathan type DV5
mechanical lubricator. It will replace any mechanical lubricator
requiring 1 to 14 feeds. Used in conjunction with the Type 5 Automatic
Mechanical Lubricator, the combination will replace any hydrostatic
lubricator as well. Used alone or in conjunction with the Four Way
Lubrication Divider, it will provide for the lubrication needs of
medium and large sized locomotives. It is of steel construction.
